go up to any comics fan and ask them which writers house they would mail pipe bombs to and they’ll list of at the bare minimum 5 different people. ask them their favorite character and you’ll be greeted with an answer followed by why every comic ever featuring that character has been literally the worst and they refuse to read it again. truly i don’t think there’s another group of people so invested in something that they truly despise to such a great degree.

Hey, in the midst of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, I’d like to encourage everyone to join a Union. They’re genuinely so, so important when it comes to fighting for your rights as a worker. Look into specialized unions for your industry or join a larger organization like The Industrial Workers of the World (which grants membership to ANY worker in ANY industry regardless of current employment status). Learn your rights. Unionize. Fight back.
reminder that teachers are forbidden from joining or starting a union in several states 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 it’s because those states have made collective bargaining (ie the reason why having a union is important) illegal.
Yes in many states unionizing is “illegal” to discourage collective action, but remember the first unions were formed without any legal frame-work.
My job unionized while public sector workers were still prohibited from unionizing in Colorado. A bill just passed that has made it legal, which should help us bring in members who were on the fence for that reason, but the union was formed before that without retaliation bc they need us for the government to function (tho leadership still hasn’t engaged with us, which is it’s own issue).
Even if you’re “not allowed” to unionize, start organizing. Ask your coworkers what they care about. See if there’s an existing union you can join who would support you. Fight the power!!!
